Our Policy

We have been here since 1986.  One of our goals is to accomodate your needs as well as your pet's.  If you need a pet picked up, if you have an emergency and wish to talk to Dr. Henrickson at 12:00 am he is available by beeper.,  We takle credit cards and can arrange payment plans in most cases.

We are a Progressive Hospital

We stay up to date on the latest treatments and care of all medical and surgical cases.  We do this by attending lectures and conferences monthly.  We were one of the first on Long Island to use VIN (Veterinary Information Network).  This is a computer site where I can get second opinions on any case.  We can ask any question, about any type of problem, and we can get a response within 24 hours.  I make extensive use of experts at the lad and universities.  Why?  Because I care and I enjoy it.  We take digital images and send them to experts for second and third consultations.  We are one of the few hospitals to have such a broad array of medical equipment including a surgical laser, tonopen(glaucoma testing), in-house lab, intravenous pumps, blood pressure monitors, electrocautery unit, a dental vet base unit, and an X-ray machine.  We are most importantly, one of the only hospitals to have someone live on the premises for 24-hour monitoring.  We offer house calls, and when we board dogs, we walk them outside 2-3 times a day.
